The 2nd annual Temporary Autonomous Arts festival in Manchester 24-28th October 2007. Once again Manchester is joining the tide of collective groups coming together to create a cultural, interactive autonomous space where people are free to be, free to create and free to express themselves. more

Fifteen people have been arrested after a police station was attacked by a mob of around 100 people who hurled beer and wine bottles at the building... The siege in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, took place after three people had been arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle which had sound equipment on board, Norfolk Police said. more

Between the 22, 23 and 24 june 2007 in St.Denis, Paris, there was a National Social Forum of the Banlieues. The event was attended by lots of different local grassroot movements. more

State of Emergency (with help from Reel News) will be holding a screening of Heiligendamm/Rostock G8 video footage followed by discussion this Tuesday at LARC in Whitechapel, featuring films by Oscar Beard, G8-TV and others. more

Information on the Resistant Art Festival, an extra camp for creativity, art and music. On the Free4 camp you will find several Sound Systems grouped in rigs, concerts, visual arts, performances, a spray wall,... But also videos and speeches about activism, repression and alternatives, an alternative media point to relate the infos on the net, an info point, workshops,... And of course food and drinks. more

This is still an open-access event free from the constraints and commercialism that most cultural events suffer from. We don’t wish to deter artists and performers from exhibiting just because there is some semblance of a lineup. This is still your show - enjoy it!

26.04.2007 15:07 - the old mountview theatre school site in crouch end is opening its doors to the public on sunday the 29th april after being abandoned by the drama school now based in wood green.

the new social centre benefits from a small theatre, which can be converted for cinema nights, as well as exhibition space, large workshop spaces, a bar and kitchen, and residential area. more

This is a personal reflection on what hapened, mixed in with some reports collected fom eye-witnesses and participants.

There seems to be someone at Holloway Road police station who has it in for anarchists. Our most recent difficulties with the local pigs started when they blocked access to the RTF4 party just as it was starting. more
