from ainfos, 18 April 2010: Declaration to the court read by one of the Turin anarchist anti-racists arrested on February 23 2010. "Bearing a sense of justice and freedom that has nothing to do with the law, every anarchist makes of his or her life a continuous invitation to struggle against injustice, and therefore to violate the laws that produce such injustice: the life of every anarchist is a long and reiterated ‘instigation to committing crime'..." more

Fascist anti-immigration stunt thwarted by anarchist counter-demo in Athens
from libcom, 6 February 2010: "The fascist anti-immigration demo called for Saturday noon at Propylea in Athens was thwarted by a massive counter-demo of anarchists and antifascists. The racist demo against immigration had been called by the Secret Services controlled pro-junta weekly paper Stohos, various ultra-Orthodox christian groups as well as a melange of other fascist groups and parties.
A week after another fascist march, that time in commemoration of some greek soldiers killed during a short-lived melee between greek and turkish naval forces in 1996, this time the fascist scum had decided to desecrate the most central academic asylum grounds of Athens: Propylea, the place where all protest marches start, a high symbol of left-wing and anarchist struggles..." more

Italy: FdCA statement on Rosarno - White hoods and 'omertà'
from ainfos, 12 January 2010: "What happened in Rosarno has without doubt come as a slap in the face to all those who believe in and fight for a different world where sides based on race, language and religion face up to each other are just an ugly memory, and to all those who see the unity of all workers, wherever they are from, as the only force able to build a better society of free equals.
The violence of the State and of these new Calabrian Ku Klux Klans armed with rifles and iron bars, with more than a hint of agricultural 'ndrangheta, towards the community of immigrants is an unfortunate reminder of the stories of Uncle Tom's Cabin..." more

Police Review: magazine cartoon - "In staggeringly poor taste"
from J4J campaign, 18 November 2008: We would imagine that, in the midst of the inquest into the death of Jean Charles de Menezes, publications aimed at and widely read by serving police officers would show greater sensitivity in the way they talk about fatal shootings by the police.
