We need people to be local contacts for their area and to arrange transport and/or meeting points from around the country! If you would be willing to do this please e-mail us and we will include you on the web-site.
Are you a medic or experienced legal observer and would like to help on the day? E-mail us to let us know.
Make and bring sound systems, street party material, noise equipment, you own affinity groups and anything else you can think of!
If you can not make it on the day but still want to contribute to the party spirit (or just have some spare cash), please consider donating some money to the campaign. See http://www.smashedo.org.uk/donate.htm for instructions on how to do this.

Anti-Militarist Gathering Update
The anti-militarist network invites all who are prepared to take action against global militarism for a two day conference at the Cowley Club Social Centre in Brighton on the 2nd and 3rd of May 2009.
This conference aims to:
1. Support the Smash EDO Mayday mobilisation on May the 4th 2009 in Brighton.
2. Plan for resistance to the NATO Parliamentary assembly in November 2009 in Edinburgh
3. Plan for resistance to the DSEI arms fair from 8 - 11th September 2009
4. Continue in efforts to build an effective support network of anti-militarist direct action.
We declare our opposition to the global arms trade and all its supporting industries, as well as armed bodies which defend the power and privilege of the few at the expense of human well-being and environmental sustainability.
The anti-militarist network aims to cooperate on a non hierarchical basis. We make all decisions using consensus methods and will aim to make our conference a safe space free from sexism, racism, homophobia and all other forms of discrimination.
Food and crash-pad convergence will be provided on a donation basis. If you need somewhere to stay and for all other inquiries please contact: brightonconference@riseup.net
For phone contact at the weekend for crash-space please call: 07706689722

Police Review: magazine cartoon - "In staggeringly poor taste"
