See "Riot police clash with anti-immigration protesters in the former capital of France's Nazi dictatorship": here
COMMENT: This headline is from the proto-fascist conservative UK newspaper 'Daily Mail': I don't quite understand why they headlined the article as 'anti-immigration' because the purpose of the direct action in Vichy, France, was AGAINST racist border controls and the deportation of sans-papiers, undocumented 'foreigners'. The headline doesn't make any sense, but there are some juicy photos.

The CRS, France’s elite riot control officers, had to use tear gas to control the 2000-strong crowd, many of whom wore balaclavas to hide their faces.

Police Review: magazine cartoon - "In staggeringly poor taste"
from J4J campaign, 18 November 2008: We would imagine that, in the midst of the inquest into the death of Jean Charles de Menezes, publications aimed at and widely read by serving police officers would show greater sensitivity in the way they talk about fatal shootings by the police.
