No RNC - Call for Reclaim the Streets on S2 & Autonomous Bloc on S3 at the RNC

Attention all Anti-capitalists, Anarchists, Anti-authoritarians, Horazontalists,
Radical Youth and people with a conscious!

In the media frenzy that is sure to surround the (no)RNC we hope to not only physically shut down the RNC but also to make visible resistance to the issues of the wholly corrupt and impudent system of representative democracy and capitalism as a whole.

In order to try and accomplish these goals, we, a newly and temporarily formed association
of autonomists, anti-capitalists and people of anti-authoritarian persuasion are calling for activists of all stripes to disrupt and subvert the RNC even further by:

What: Reclaim the streets! A non-permitted snake march and reclaim the streets
action in St. Paul's financial district.

When: September 2, 2008 at 3:30pm (march leaves closer to 4)!

Where: Mears Park, St. Paul, Minnesota

Why: There are a million reasons why to take over and reclaim St. Paul's
financial district!

Ours are: Besides the more general goal of making visible resistance to the systems of capitalism and representative democracy the district is home to some the biggest and most corrupt institutions and corporations in the world. Namely:

- The Wells Fargo Place (Wells Fargo Bank and Company are well known war profiteers and also invest in the GEO corp. as well as other private prison companies)

A World Trade Center (A headquarters of many global corporations and state offices, need we say more?)

Many banks and finical/investment groups (Citi, US Bank, 1st National, Morgan
Stanley, Charles Schwab and many more temples of capital which are invested in appalling human and environmental rights violations. Many of which are also direct sponsors of the 2008 RNC)

The district is also home to offices of the FBI, U.S. Marshals, ATF, St. Paul Police and other agents of state repression.

In our opposition to all of these horrible institutions we want break the monotony of the everyday and create excitement, life and resistance in a place that reeks of war, exploitation, environmental destruction and repression.

What to bring: Yourself and all your friends/comrades! Signs, banners, paint, music, speakers, guitars, drums and other things to bang on and make noise with, chalk, flags (black is preferable!), anything you can think of to create a festival of resistance.

Whether its because you cant stand war profiteers or you just want to make a statement about who controls public space and break through the mundane there's a reason for you to help reclaim the streets! We hope to see you there taking part in the reclamation and recreation of St. Paul's financial district!

What: Autonomous Action Brigade!

An all out, last ditch effort to disrupt the RNC using any means necessary!

When: September 4, 2008 at 4 pm!

Where: Converge at the MN State Capitol (Look for the black flags!)

Why: On September 4, 2008 John McCain plans to accept the Republican nomination
for president of the good ol' USA. We'll attempt to cut their party short and
show that were done asking nicely!

What to bring: Yourself, your comrades and your game face... its go time!

Please note: If you are planning on participating in the reclaim the streets
please understand that with any un-permitted action no matter how confrontational, there is a chance of police intervention. This is not to say that we plan on confrontations with the police just that there will be a definite police presence around the action.
