In one week activists from all over Denmark as well as different parts of Europe will try to make their way to the City Hall in Copenhagen demanding that the council members remain in session until they have decided on a location for a new house.
Debate about the action is widespread both in left radical and mainstream media. In left radical circles some concern is voiced about the realism of the goal of the action, but support is very wide spread.
In the mainstream media the action is being portrayed as a militarisation of the left wing and an excuse for random street fighting, amongst other things because of the large number of gas masks and confrontation trainings.
The co-ordination meeting for BlokR has decided to host a final mass meeting before the action to allow activists to meet and to once more go over the details of the action and the non-violence civil disobedience codex.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday April 1st at Nørre Allé 7 (inner Nørrebro area) in the cafe.
Gas masks will again be sold one different days of the coming week for activists who feel it may become necessary during the action. Another building workshop is also underway on Saturday where more protective equipment will be manufactured for the blocks.
The action itself will start on Thursday April 3rd at 17.00 from Vesterbros Torv about 1km from Town Hall Square.
