G8 Border-crossing from Netherlands
Many people want to resist the G8-summit in Heiligendamm. The authorities will not hesitate to combat this resistance with repression. This can already start at the moment that you try to enter Germany. Our weapon against this consists of solidarity, good information and communal action!

Also we have supportpoints at some border crossings (especially Nijmegen and Groningen). In case you get into trouble or are being sent back, you can go there to get help and more information. Information in case of problems for people crossing or coming from Austria in direction to G8 Heiligendamm. By Legal Support Team/Rechtshilfe

Also we try to have supportpoints and/or supporting activists in bigger cities near some border crossings. In case you get into trouble or are being sent back, you can go there to get help and more information. The information about those places/activists will be given if needed via phone.
In the next days we will provide furthermore some information about the legal situation in Austria as well, for those activists who want to resist the G8 summit, but are not able to cross the borders and therefore want to take some action at and around the border.

Police Review: magazine cartoon - "In staggeringly poor taste"
from J4J campaign, 18 November 2008: We would imagine that, in the midst of the inquest into the death of Jean Charles de Menezes, publications aimed at and widely read by serving police officers would show greater sensitivity in the way they talk about fatal shootings by the police. But evidently not. The magazine "Police Review", in its 14 November edition, decided that the introduction of new rules preventing firearms officers from conferring after a shooting was best illustrated by this appalling cartoon. more
