The infosystem
Infopoints are planned for the camps and the convergence centres; moreover, in Rostock, Bad Doberan and Kröpelin a mobile Infopoints will always try to be at a good place during the days of action. Our Infopoints are the nodes of a network. We ask everyone to form part of it.
Come to the Infopoints or call us to make reports of the situations to create counter-propaganda coming from the point of view of the participants. We consider that our task is to join together correct and up-to-date information and to support a qualified and true evaluation of the situation for all.

Maps:
Maps of the area of the actions have been prepared. You can get these maps in the InfoPoints (Infopoints), in the Convergence Centres, like in all the Points of Resistance... These maps will include 'zoned' graphics in order to locate the camps. The camp of Reddelich will be for example on the G4 zone. On the maps the numbers of the Infopoints will be also noted, of the Legal Assistance (Legal Help Team), the web addresses...
As many will not have the opportunity to buy close-up maps of the region beforehand, people can print out these PDF files until you have the opportunity to buy a good one in Germany.
The best and more useful would be a bike map, a real close up of the region that you will need for your outcamp action trainings and to play the cat and mouse game. It' extremely important if you want to have a chance to win the game, that you know the region.

Public Mobile Radio (PMR)
For the purpose of distrubuting actual information there'll be a so called Public-Mobile-Radio-Info. It's part of the Infosystem an it's supposed to broadcast information concerning demonstrations, blockades and actions. It will be receivable around the area of Heiligendamm and Rostock-Laage during the probable actiondays on wednesday and thursday. PMRs are small handy radios which can be bought and used legally.
Usually you reach between 0,5 km and 5 km - this depends a lot on the territory. You also can simply receive information and don't necessarily need to dispatch yourself - the PMR receives information just like any other normal radio. You can buy PMRs even in some supermarkets or do-it-yourself-stores.
Prices are about 20 euros to 40 (better quality) euros, usually as a double pack. The devices should provide a plug-in for earphones. During the non-broadcasting periods the PMRs easily can be used as perfect communication-devices between small groups acting in a certain range nearby to each other...
The following days information will be provided via the PMRs:
- Wednesday 6 June
- Thursday 7 June
Information will be broadcasted hourly:
every xx:45 h Channel: 3
You need: a PMR
Public Transportation - Rostock
Rostock's public transportation company seems to be somewhat friendly towards the protests. They are announcing a ticket for the whole region from June 2-9 for 15 Euro (£10).
This includes the trains to the Camps in Reddelich and Wichmannsdorf and the airport Rostock Laage. Tickets can be bought in the ticket selling counters, in regional busses and trains.
Also additional trains are running. The regional train passing by the camp in Reddelich will be running also at night every hour (takes approx. 30 min from Rostock train station), trains from Rostock centre to Warnemuende, passing by Evershagen school with media center and convergence center, will be going:
from 10:00 to 20:00 every 10 minutes
from 20:00 to 24:00 every 15 minutes
After midnight regular schedule, ending around 1:30, starting around 4am. There are night buses in between.
See https://dissentnetzwerk.org/node/2047 for up-to-the-minute info on transport (in english).
Filling The Gap - Transport Working Group
Taking care of an extremely essential part of the protests infrastructure a transnational transport working group was founded in Warsaw. The AG wants to organize transports of all kinds of camp-, protest- and convergence center materials before the summit as well as during the summit itself:
To bring materials, water & food to the activists and to bring the activists themselves from convergence centers and train stations to the relevant regions as well as immidiatelly to the actions.
To achieve these goals the Transport AG is looking for 20 to 30 drivers owning absolutelly legal drivers licences, at best also for driving bigger trucks.
Additionally there is the need for more people to help out sometimes, as well as for some mechanics willing to offer their skills. Another possibility to join the group is to help organizing and coordinating transports.
The Transport AG moreover is calling for vehicles of all kind: busses, trucks, cars...
If you know sympathetic bus companies willing to give us smaller or bigger buses for a cheaper tarif or even for free - or if you can think of other ways to contribute to the concept, please do it. Maybe you could also lend your car to others or to the transport group sometimes.

Police Review: magazine cartoon - "In staggeringly poor taste"
from J4J campaign, 18 November 2008: We would imagine that, in the midst of the inquest into the death of Jean Charles de Menezes, publications aimed at and widely read by serving police officers would show greater sensitivity in the way they talk about fatal shootings by the police. But evidently not. The magazine "Police Review", in its 14 November edition, decided that the introduction of new rules preventing firearms officers from conferring after a shooting was best illustrated by this appalling cartoon. more
