As you can imagine, the authorities were not really willing to support the protesters in finding Camp Places. Far from it! The repression was increasing in the last weeks as an attempt of demobilizing us, but most of their attempts failed, turning their propaganda against themselves.

They have only allowed 3 small camps, all far from each others to try to break our coordination. These camps are based on the hard work of the Camp07 group but the state asked for signing contracts and paying a caution which makes that this camps needs to ask a paying entry to the camp (the Camp07 group will also provides water and electricity)...

That was too far from what we are willing to do, a fully autonomous camp, and if we want to prove that our utopia is concrete, we need to demonstrate it !

Moreover as the 3 camps can only take care of about 15,000 people, we need to offer additionnal space to all the others as well, to rest, prepare actions and networking between the groups, even if it is with much less comfort.

Of course you will need to have some basics things like sleeping materials (tent, van,... and sleeping bags) and water and food (remember what means « autonomy »).

But what is also really important to think about is a small PMR Radio walky talkie [1] because all the coordination, and not only for the Free4 camp but for all actions in general, will be made on radio.

The 2nd June, after the demo, we will give you a meeting point to go to the camp on the radio. For those who won't be able to get a PMR radio, all infos will be available at the Infopoints. [2]

On sites like free4/gipfel/dissent [3] you will find all infos necessary to prepare yourself, to be aware of what to take and what is legal/illegal there, as well as infos on actions and contacts if you need help during the actions (first aid, legal help,...)

Camps and actions are based on DIY and autonomy so please prepare banners/ideas/paint and balloons/flyers/...

For those who wants to participate actively inside this autonomous camp we need to have a few answers to some questions (for those who haven't got in touch with us yet):

PMR-Info-Radio

To spread the latest news there will be a PMR-Info-Radio. It´s part of the Infosystem and like Infopoints and Infotelephones it will inform you about the latest news about demonstrations, blockades and actions. You can reach it around Heiligendamm and Rostock-Laage during the Action days.

PMR means "Public Mobile Radio". This are a small type of walkie-talkies that you can legally buy and use. Usually the broadcasting range is about 0.5 km to 5km, depending strongly on surroundings (town, mountain, forest, field,...). But to receive the Inforadio you don´t need to send - the PMR receives the news like a usual radio.

Due to norming you can buy the PMR all over Europe for about 20 euros, better quality for about 40 euros, usually you get two for that price. Make sure that they have a connection for headphones. In between broadcasting times the walkie-talkies can of course be used for communication in between groups in the closer action radius.

During actions, news will be broadcasted by PMR radios every hours at approximatively xxh45 on channel 3.

Wie Ihr euch sicher vorstellen koennt, waren die Autoritaeten in Deutschland nicht gerade hilfsbereit in der Unterstuetzung Camp Plaetze zu finden. Im Gegenteil ! Die Repression hat vorallem in den letzten Wochen wahnwitzige Dimensionen angenommen, es wird, mal wieder, versucht eine Widerstandsbewegung zu demoralisieren. Aber diese Versuche sind gescheitert - die Solidaritaet in der Gemeinschaft ist noch staerker geworden.

Es gibt im moment 3 Camps, alle mit einer groesseren Distanz zueinander um unsere koordination zu schwaechen. Diese Camps sind das Ergebnis langer und harter Anstrengungen der Camp AG, Unterzeichenen von Vertraegen mit Kautionshinterlegung, Kosten fuer Strom, Wasser und Abwasser, Toiletten usw, so dass ein Unkostenbeitrag unbedingt notwendig ist. Bringt ein PMR Radio ------> G8 Infostystem !!!!!

Zur Verbreitung aktueller Informationen wird es auch ein PMR-Info-Radio geben. Es ist Teil des Infosystems und soll wie die Infopunkte und Infotelefone aktuell über Demonstrationen, Blockaden und Aktionen berichten. Es wird rund um Heiligendamm und Rostock-Laage während der Aktionstage Mittwoch und Donnerstag zu empfangen sein.

PMR steht für "Public Mobile Radio". Das sind kleine Handfunkgeräte die mensch legal kaufen und benutzen darf. In der Regel haben sie eine Sendereichweite zwischen 0,5Km und 5Km, was stark abhängig vom Gelände ist. Comme vous pouvez l'imaginer, les autorités allemandes ne sont pas vraiment enclines à aider les manifestants pour construire des camps. Loin de la ! La répression s'est accrue au cours des dernières semaines afin de tenter de nous démobiliser mais la plupart de leur actions se sont soldées par des échecs, ce qui a retourné contre eux leur propre propagande.

Ils ont autorisé seulement 3 camps de petites tailles, loin les uns des autres, pour tenter de casser la coordination. Ces camps ont été établi grâce au remarquable travail du groupe Camp07 mais le gouvernement leur a demandé de signer des contrats et de payer des cautions, les obligeant ainsi a faire payer l'entrée aux camps (en échange le groupe Camp07 fournira de l'eau et de l'électricité)...

Ceci ne ressemblait pas du tout à ce que nous voulions faire, un camp entièrement autonome, car si nous voulons prouver que nos utopies sont concrètes, nous nous devons de le démontrer !

De plus la capacité totale des 3 camps réunis n'excède pas 15 000 personnes, il nous faut donc offrir de l'espace supplémentaire aux autres manifestants, pour se reposer, préparer les actions et établir une cohésion entre les divers groupes, même si cela induit moins de confort.

Sur le camp Free4 vous trouverez divers Sound Systems réunis en quelques murs de son, des concerts, des Arts visuels, des performances, un mur de graff,... Mais aussi des diffusions de vidéos, des discours, sur l'activisme, la répression et les alternatives aux systèmes actuels, un point média alternatif pour relayer les infos sur le net, un point d'information sur les actions en cours, des ateliers,... Et bien évidemment de à boire et à manger.

Bien sur vous devrez avoir certains éléments de base tels que le nécessaire pour dormir (tente, camion,..., sac de couchage,...) ainsi que de l'eau et de la nourriture (rappelez vous ce que veux dire le mot « autonomie »).

Mais ce qui est également véritablement important de prendre est un petit talkie-walkie PMR Radio [1] car toute la coordination, non pas seulement pour le camp Free4 mais pour toutes les actions en général, sera faite par radio.

Le 2 juin, après la manifestation, nous vous donnerons un point de rendez-vous pour aller au camp par le biais de cette radio. Pour tout ceux qui n'auront pas reussis a se procurer de radio PMR, toutes les infos seront données aux divers points d'information. [2]

Sur des sites comme free4/gipfel/dissent [3] vous trouverez toutes les infos nécessaires pour vous préparez, pour être informer de quoi prendre en y allant et ce qui est légal/illégal là bas, ainsi que des infos sur les actions et les contacts a savoir pour si vous avez besoin d'aide pendant les actions (premiers secours, aide juridique,...)

Les camps et les actions sont fondées sur les principes de DIY et d'autonomie donc s'il vous plait préparez des bannières, des idées, de la peinture et des ballons, des tracts, ou tout ce qui vous passera par la tête et que vous jugerez utiles au succès des blocages...

Pour tout ceux qui veulent participer de manière active a l'intérieur de ce camp autonome, nous aurions besoin que vous nous donniez quelques infos (pour ceux qui ne sont pas encore entré en contact avec nous) :
Que comptez vous faire? Quand arriverez vous? De quoi avez vous besoin? Avez vous un groupe électrogène et si non, de combien de Kva avez vous besoin?

Si vous etes totalement autonomes et si vous n'avez pas vraiment envie de vous annoncer, nous respecterons ce choix et vous accueillerons bien évidemment du mieux que nous le pourrons :)

PMR-Info-Radio

Pour recevoir les dernières infos, utilisez des talkies-walkies PMR-Radio. Cela fait parti du système de coordination mis en place, au même titre que les points d'informations et les numéros de téléphones spéciaux, vous serez ainsi tenus au courant des dernières infos concernant les manifestations, les blocages et les actions aux alentours d'Heiligendamm et de Rostock-Laage pendant les Journées d'Action.

PMR signifie "Public Mobile Radio". Ce sont de petits talkies-walkies que vous pouvez légalement acheter et utiliser. En général leur portée varie de 500m à 5km en fonction de l'environnement (ville, montagne, foret, campagne,...). En raison des normes communes, vous pouvez acheter ces PMR, par lot de 2 appareils, de partout en Europe pour environ 20 €, ou de plus meilleure qualité pour 40 €.

Le mieux etant ceux équipés d'une connectique pour écouteurs, ceci pour une plus grande mobilité pendant les actions. Bien évidemment ces talkies-walkies peuvent aussi servir a communiquer entre groupes pendants les blocages ;)

Pendant les actions des flashs d'infos seront diffusés toutes les heures à environ xxh45 sur le canal numéro 3.
