A weekend of direct action, protests and parties against the leaders
of the European Union

The leaders of the European Union will meet in Dublin on May 1st, international workers day, to celebrate the integration of 10 new member states. The policies and decisions over our future in Europe will have been made already by bureaucrats in committee meetings dispersed throughout Ireland and Brussels. Fearing large scale anti-capitalist protests against bi-annual summits, they have resorted to having smaller meetings followed by lavish banquets...

On Mayday, to show resistance is paramount. We are not falling for their glossy PR and trashy pop concerts. We stand with the exploited of no country, all who have fought and continue to fight by any means against the criminality of power: full text here >>>

A Mayday festival of Independent Media has opened in Dublin: "It brings together actors from the community media world with media activists from the global indymedia network to reveal the best of local and global radical grassroots media. With 15 film screenings, 9 open forums and 11 practical workshops, plus a cafe, photo exhibition and information hall..."

London Critical Mass 6pm, Friday April 30th 2004 - 10th anniversary of Critical Mass in London. Starts from the Southbank at Waterloo in front of the National Film Theatre under Waterloo Bridge.

DISARM DSEi: Shut down Spearhead for Mayday! - 30th April. Address: Apex Tower New Malden (opposite New Malden station). 8:30am onwards.

London Beltane - Mayday 2004. Meet midday, Parliament Hill, Hampstead Heath.

Anarchist Mayday Cricket! - The site says "In true Ya Basta style we will be padding up and dressing in
white! Bring your trusty wooden bat, swing for glory and whack capitalism across the boundary! Everyone attending must be dressed in whites (no ghastly logos) and be prepared to wield a bat against the global menace..." Meet 1pm @ the Bat & Ball, Bear Street, off Leicester Square.
