News about the action day at the military airbase Rostock-Laage - now on 6th June!
On the 5th June, there will be an anti-militaristic cruising in the city of Rostock, we will visit places, spaces or offices of e.g. military infrastructure, companies etc. Come along and be creative! Meeting point: 11h at the Camp in Rostock
On the 6th June, we organize the action day and blockades at the military airport in Rostock-Laage (near the highway A19 Berlin-Rostock), which is part of the infrastructure of the G8 Summit Conference and the militaristic policies of the G8 governments. more

G8: Urgent appeal lodged against demonstration ban
During the G8 summit there will be a ten day ban on demostrations and assemblies within as well as 200 metres around the fence in Heilgendamm.
From the 5th to 8th of June, i.e. during the summit meetings, this zone will be extended to a 4km area around the fence. Demonstrations are to be kept at a 6km distance to the conference hotel. more
Call for a Superhero Block at the G8 2007
The Dispensables and precarious Superheroes called The Unbeatables are calling for a block at the mass demonstration and at the mass blockades against the G8 summit. Both entities are part of the ongoing struggles to understand and resist contemporary conditions of precarity of live and work. more
Press Release: General ban on demonstrations near Heiligendamm fence
from email, 16 May 2007: The special police department "Kavala", responsible for the security of the G8 summit, has issued yesterday [15 May] evening a so-called General Ban. This was formally communicated to the negotiators of one of the protest marches.
In the past, "Kavala" always has denied plans of such a restriction of the right to protest. Even the website of "Kavala" has stated for months that no restrictions would be placed on demonstrations in the area of the fence.
Now it is clear that no demonstrations against the G8 will be allowed in an area of several kilometers outside of the fence. more

German border controls to be re-introduced for G8 summit

Raids in Germany: Press release by the persons concerned
Yesterday a nationwide search of left projects and individuals was taking place in Germany. The Federal Supreme Court prosecutor Monika Harms used these searches to criminalize and split the broad resistance against the G8. The raids proved to be a total failure.
The intended intimidation of the left scene and the entire G8 protest movement did not succeed. Yesterday evening, more than 10,000 people in several German and European cities took to the streets to express spontaneously their solidarity... more

London: Demo on Friday 11th May @ 6pm London - Against The G8 and Police Repression
This morning (Wednesday May 9th) police raided about 40 buildings in Germany, including several social centres and private homes in Berlin and Hamburg, as well as the alternative web provider so36.net. Police forces searched the "Rote Flora" in Hamburg as well as parts of the "Bethanien" in Berlin. Both places are planning to be decentralised convergence centres for the G8 protests of early June.
We want to show solidarity with the German movement and express our right to protest against the upcoming G8 in June. We want to defy police repression and show we are not intimidated by it!
